About LRPR

The City of Little Rock Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to keep you informed on our current efforts. We encourage you to recognize the underlying values of parks, recreation, and cultural activities---economic, social, communal, environmental, physical, spiritual, and aesthetic.

We are firm believers that great cities are not just buildings, streets, and surplus green spaces, but must also include creatively planned and well-designed parks, recreation facilities, open spaces, and opportunities for cultural enrichment. Well-planned developments can utilize parks, recreation centers, open space, and cultural opportunities to promote community investment and savings, educate citizens about the environment, and contribute to the city's unique cultural and natural character.
