The
City Clerk's Office is the custodian of City records
related to City Board meetings, i.e., ordinances, resolutions,
agreements and warranty deeds. Other documents maintained
in the clerk's office are Act 9 bonds, Capital Improvement
Projects, annexations, deeds for Oakland-Fraternal Cemetery
lots, improvement district records and other legal documents.
Copies of any of the above mentioned documents may be
obtained in this office by written or verbal request.
The
Clerk's office receives filings of street and alley
closures, right-of-way and utility easements to process
for action by the City Board. The Clerk's office accepts
petitions of candidates for City Directors and Municipal
Judges. Referendum and Initiative Petitions proposing
local measures to be placed on the ballot are filed
with the City Clerk, the Clerk validates these signatures
with the Pulaski County Voter Registration Office before
declaring the petition valid.
The
Clerk's office certifies various official records which
are maintained in this office for staff members and
the general public.
