City in a Park Conservancy and Land Trust

The City in a Park Conservancy and Land Trust was organized for the purposes of assisting the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department with the development, operation and maintenance of facilities and parks through which safe, economical and enjoyable recreational activities are provided for the use of the City of Little Rock's citizens and visitors; conserving the natural environment in and around the City of Little Rock, Arkansas by encouraging landowners to donate land and interests in land for conservation purposes and by informing the public concerning the importance of planning for orderly development; consulting and work with governmental and private agencies on conservation and planning problems as they relate to the City and generally to promote the responsible use of land and natural resources in order to serve the ecological scenic, economic and recreational needs of the people of the City; receiving,  maintaining and operating real or personal property, or both, and, subject to the restrictions and limitations hereinafter set forth, to use and apply the whole or any part of the income therefrom and the principal thereof, exclusively for charitable and benevolent purposes including educational, literary and scientific activities primarily for the physical, cultural and spiritual benefit of the people of the City; and various other tasks.
