General Information
The Riverfest Amphitheatre is located in Riverfront Park, nestled along the Arkansas River, in Little Rock, immediately off of I-30, at the Markham Street exit. There are two entrances into the Park. Gate 2 is designated as a general entry as well as an entry for our patrons with disabilities.
The seven and one half acre site was originally designed and built, in 1987, as a multi-use stage and amphitheatre and held its' first "for-pay" event in 1989. Due to the popularity and success of the venue, it was clear that some refinement would be required in order to serve citizens and performers more effectively and safely.
Consequently, in 1994 a planning process began that has evolved to include 1,375 reserved seats and 9,125 lawn seats, permanent restrooms, dressing rooms for entertainers, and enhanced walkways.
The Riverfest Amphitheatre is the site of many of Little Rock's concerts. Because of the facility fee that was added to each ticket, several improvements have been made which include: 1,375 fixed seats, strengthening of the roof structure, additional concrete pads for vending locations, and re-configuration of the VIP fence.
View
The backdrop for the open-air Amphitheatre is the Arkansas River. The city's River Market, Museum of Science and History, Library and other shops surround the Amphitheatre offering the visitor many choices for their enjoyment and leisure time.
Concessions
Citti Enterprises, Inc. provides food service for the Amphitheatre during concerts offering many points of sale with little waiting. Concessions include branded food products that are indigenous to Arkansas and the deep South. Beverages include: beer, soft drinks and bottled water.
Souvenirs
Purchasing souvenirs is made easy from the merchandise kiosks located in the plaza areas throughout the complex.
Sound
The sound system for each show is specifically geared to the entertainment being featured.
