The City of Little Rock is currently seeking CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS interested in a career with the Little Rock Police Department. The current starting salary for the position of Police Officer is $27,000 with an excellent benefits package. Applicants are required to pass a written exam, physical agility exam, a polygraph exam, and a background investigation. Additionally, applicants offered employment must pass a drug test, and a psychological and medical evaluation that includes, but is not limited to a vision and hearing assessment. Accepted Certified Police Officers will enter a six (6) week accelerated training curriculum through the Little Rock Police Training Academy.

Examinations will be administered at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2001, noon on Wednesday, April 4, 2001, 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2001 and Wednesday, 8:30 a.m. April 18, 2001. The examination will be administered at the Little Rock Police Department Training Academy located at 10901 Arch Street, Little Rock, AR.
