#1100 SCHOLASTIC CRIME STOPPERS Violence in our
schools is an issue that is growing and is of great concern to our community.
News stories from around the country tell of kids with guns in school,
drugs being sold in the hall ways, and other criminal activity. Scholastic
Crime Stoppers is a way for school age children to confidentially report
crime in their school and neighborhoods. Last year two guns were recovered
in Little Rock Schools. One of the guns was found through the Scholastic
Crime Stoppers program. Students can contact the School Resource Officer
and report criminal activity or they can call the Crime Stoppers Hotline
at 371-INFO. Students should know the relaying of information is strictly
confidential and no one will find out their identity. The information
may be worth up to $1000.
