Burglary is crime that causes a lot of very unsafe feelings in the lives of its victims. The thought of knowing someone has been in your personal space with out your permission is a frightening thought. What is even more frightening is when your business is burglarized. On April 22, 2001, Don's Pharmacy was victimized buy a burglar. Smash and grab burglars have been striking businesses all over central Arkansas. Most of these burglars have been at store where cigarettes are sold. In this case the however, the burglar was looking for drugs. The business was entered around 10:09 p.m. by busting out the front door glass. Once inside the burglar passed up everything else in the store and went straight to the drugs. A video surveillance camera caught the criminal in action. From viewing the video it is obvious that the burglar is looking for specific types of drugs. He goes from shelf to shelf looking for drugs like OxyContin, Vicoden, and other painkillers. Thanks to the alert Pharmacist, the drugs were placed on the shelves in a special way that prevents criminals from finding the drugs they desire. The burglar is described as a male, unknown race, 5'10, 160 lbs, wearing tan pants, and a painters mask over his face. If you have information about this crime it may be worth up to $1000.
