HIT AND RUN (DEATH)
A driver going Eastbound on Roosevelt Road noticed a dark object lying
in the roadway. Has she got closer she noticed that the object was a
person. Unfortunately she was unable to keep from hitting the person.
The individual in the street was later identified as Mr. Curtis Harris.
Mr. Harris had been struck by a vehicle and was lying in the street
when he was struck again by the second vehicle. The first vehicle did
not stop and your help is needed in locating that vehicle. The first
vehicle is described as a yellow or yellow and white moving van. Similar
to if not a possible older Ryder or Penske moving truck. The moving
truck should have a broken headlight. Possible broken grill, dent in
the front hood or broken windshield. Witnesses advised that there was
another person walking with Mr. Harris when Mr. Harris was struck. This
person kept walking. Officers are looking for the truck or that individual
who may be able to provide additional information. If you have information
about the missing witness or the suspect truck contact the crime stoppers
