State Fair

It's that time again. Everyone is looking forward to the fun and the food. Remember that you must be safe while enjoying yourself. The fairgrounds will be hiring their own security, but Little Rock Officers will also be present along with Arkansas State Police, and Pulaski County officers. Little Rock officers will be in both uniform and plan cloths inside and out of the fairgrounds. There will be a booth set up for reporting criminal acitivity and lost children just inside the main gate. There will also be a police trailer located outside of the fairgrounds. Our Special Operations officer will be present, which include Narcotics, Motorcycle and Helicopter.

Children can also get a medical wristband with a contact name and telephone number in case their parents get lost. The Little Rock Police Department will also be handing out gunlocks during the first weekend of the fair, so look for our booth in the Hall of Industry.

The Little Rock Police Department along with other law enforcement agencies works closely together to provide a safe environment in the area of the fairgrounds. Fortunately, incidents of a serious nature have been minimal in the past. However, individuals must use good judgment and common sense. While at the fair, if you see potential problems, be sure to contact a police officer. We strongly discourage the presence of anyone at the State Fair who intends to create problems of any kind. Persons causing problems may be asked to leave the fair grounds or may be subject to other enforcement action as the situation warrants.
