Robbery
July 1, 2004 officers responded to a call of a robbery in progress at Cheers on Van Buren Street. Witnesses advised officers that the suspect was hiding in the parking lot when he went inside the restaurant and ordered everyone to get down. The suspect forced employees to the safe and took an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is described as a black male, 6’00”, 200lbs, carrying a Glock handgun.
