May 1, 2002 Special (Business Watch) Businesses in the 6900 block of Cantrell road have taken the concept of neighborhood watch a little further. They are working with a young lady to form a business watch. These businesses are vulnerable to robberies, burglaries and thefts. They can be attractive targets for criminal activity. Owners of area business hope to decrease the amount of criminal activity by actively patrolling the area and reporting any suspicious activity. Businesses are also asked to look at and update any security systems that they have. We hope that this new watch group is able to decrease crime in their area and may also motivate other businesses in other areas to start their own business watch.
