April 24, 2002 Theft In for
minute. That is what several women in Little Rock said before running in
to either drop off or pick up their children at area daycares.A minute is the suspects needed to get their victims purses and
get away. In Little Rock there have been several purses stolen this
way. Fortunately, our gang of suspects have been caught. How were they caught? Well one of the daycare workers happened to be sitting in her car
when she saw a mother go in to pick up her child. Seconds later a female suspect walked up to the car and took a
purse from it. The suspect was confronted but fled the area with the
purse. She was followed and the purse was recovered. In the possession of one of the victims were items belonging to
at least seventeen different victims. How did they manage to get away with
using the stolen check and credit cards. The suspects matched their racial makeup with the racial makeup of the victim. Then used
the victims ID to pass the checks and cards. Three adult females and one juvenile female were arrested and
charged with several counts of theft by receiving, forgery and credit
card fraud.
