Parks Maintenance Worker (Golf Course)

JOB OBJECTIVE:
To maintain the grounds, buildings and equipment at one of the City golf
courses.
ACCOUNTABILITY:
Receives immediate supervision from the Foreman I - Golf Course.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Operates various types of mowers to cut
greens, tees and fairways.
2. Checks fuel and oil levels daily before
operating equipment.
3. Picks up limbs and other trash from the
golf course.
4. Mixes appropriate chemicals, including
fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides; operates tractor mounted equipment for
applying solutions.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Uses various hand tools to fill holes,
trim or remove trees and shrubs, and to prepare and paint interior and exterior
surfaces of buildings and benches.
2. Notifies supervisor of equipment
breakdowns, noticeable symptoms of plant disease and other maintenance
problems.
3. Operates trucks to haul dirt, fill
holes, remove trash from the course and deliver various materials.
4. Performs other related duties as
required.
