JOB TITLE: Office Assistant II (Parks and Recreation - Adult Center)

JOB
OBJECTIVE: To provide clerical support to Adult Center
staff.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Receives general supervision from the Recreation Center
Director (Adult Center).
ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains
files and records relating to Adult Center programs and projects.
2. Answers
the telephone and directs callers to appropriate personnel; answers questions
from callers regarding Adult Center activities.
3. Greets
visitors at the Adult Center and directs them to appropriate personnel.
4. Types
letters, memoranda, reports, and other Center correspondence.
5. Operates
a microcomputer, utilizing word processing or spreadsheet software, to maintain
and retrieve Adult Center files and records.
6. Registers
Center participants in various programs; collects monies from participants and
maintains payment records.
7. Reserves
rooms for use by groups and individuals; maintains calendars and reservation
forms.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Compiles
and distributes the Adult Center's monthly calendar of events.
2. Performs other related duties as
required.
