JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant I (Housing and Neighborhood Programs -
Administration - Housing Clearinghouse and Landbank Programs)

JOB
OBJECTIVE: To provide administrative and technical
assistance for the Housing Clearinghouse and Landbank Programs in the
Department of Housing and Neighborhood Programs.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Receives general supervision form the Housing Partnership
and Landbank Programs Administrator.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducts
surveys and collects and analyzes information relating to Housing Clearinghouse
and Landbank Programs.
2. Collects
and compiles information for housing reference manuals and other materials
relating to Housing Clearinghouse and Landbank Programs.
3. Prepares
monthly, quarterly, annual and special narrative and statistical housing
program reports; operates a microcomputer utilizing spreadsheet and word
processing software.
4. Provides
clerical and technical assistance to the Housing Partnership and Landbank
Programs Administrator and Housing Clearinghouse Coordinator.
5. Answers
questions and provides technical information to members of the general public
and the private sector.
6. Reviews
incoming correspondence and materials; drafts appropriate responses.
7. Receives
and responds to complaints from the public regarding Housing Clearinghouse and
Landbank Programs operations and procedures.
8. Assists
the Housing Partnership and Landbank Programs Administrator in providing
assistance to the Community Housing Board, including taking minutes and
scheduling meetings.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Writes
specifications for the purchase of equipment and services required for the
Housing Clearinghouse and Landbank Programs.
2. Prepares
tentative annual budget figures for the Housing Clearinghouse and Landbank
Programs.
3. Performs
other related duties as required.
