JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant I (General Services - ELRCC)

JOB
OBJECTIVE: To ensure the efficient operation of
activities and programs administered at the East Little Rock Community Complex.
ACCOUNTABILITY: Receives general supervision from the Community Complex
Administrator.
ESSENTIAL
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducts
procedural and administrative studies; prepares recommendations regarding
administrative action for improvements to existing programs and activities at
the ELRCC.
2. Provides
information and support to the Community Complex Administrator for resolving
operational problems.
3. Initiates
research and special studies for identifying potential problem areas in ELRCC
programs and activities; compiles reports of recommended solutions.
4. Reviews
memoranda, reports and similar materials; prepares narrative and numerical
reports.
5. Serves
as backup in the absence of the Community Complex Administrator.
6. Directs
the work activities of assigned staff.
7. Provides
consultation and assistance to the Day-Care Unit in testing and evaluations;
monitors results to ensure compliance with procedures and guidelines.
8. Receives
daily care fees, issues receipts, and deposits fees in the bank in the absence
of the Administrator.
9. Prepares
purchase requisitions; reviews invoices and materials to assure that all items
are properly received and charged.
10. Prepares
monthly USDA and day-care attendance reports, detailing the number of meals
prepared and demographic information about day-care participants.
11. Notifies
appropriate employees of requests and complaints received from the public;
performs necessary follow-up to ensure prompt corrective action and responses.
